Less paperwork. Better bids. More capacity.
Preconstruction support and practical automation for mid-size trade contractors and growing construction firms.
We help construction teams deal with the growing documentation, coordination, and decision-making load without burning out good people or changing how your business feels to run.
Meet the Founders
Brian Heffernan | Principal and Founder
Massive Consulting and Design was founded on a simple premise. The construction industry deserves better tools and smarter processes built by people who actually understand the work.
I spent over 15 years in I.C.I. construction, much of that time as a Senior Estimator, where success depended less on spreadsheets and more on managing information under pressure. Most of the friction came from documents, addenda, coordination, and administrative overload, not from a lack of technical ability.
Today, automation and AI are finally making it possible for small and mid-size construction firms to access capabilities that were once reserved for enterprise organizations. My focus is bringing those tools into construction honestly and practically, as support equipment that gives good people time back rather than adding complexity.

Luna Heffernan | Co-Founder and Design Director
Luna brings strategic clarity to how Massive shows up for clients. Her focus is on brand, communication, operations, and change management, ensuring that ideas translate into work that actually sticks.
Technology adoption fails when people are not brought along. Luna’s role is making sure our engagements run smoothly, our deliverables are clear, and our automation work fits the way clients actually operate day to day.
Focus areas include branding, client communications, operations, and organizational change.
The Massive Difference
Experience that shows up when it matters.
Preconstruction judgment
Good preconstruction is not just about numbers. It is about understanding scope, risk, and how early decisions show up later in the field.
We help teams slow down the right decisions, even when timelines are tight.
Procurement and contract awareness
We bring a working understanding of procurement processes and standard construction contracts into early conversations.
This helps reduce misalignment and surprises that often only surface after work is awarded.
Calm under complexity
As projects get larger or more complex, documentation increases and decisions carry more weight.
Our role is to help teams stay organized, informed, and steady when volume and pressure increase.
"We leave the showmanship at home. Whether we are reviewing scope or supporting automation, we focus on getting the small details right. Accuracy is non-negotiable."
